The Lantern was first revealed to the public 1942 when the lamp was used to decorate The Danish Museum of Art and Design in Copenhagen. The Lantern is often considered to be one of Le Klint’s most fascinating lamps and it's still one of the most popular within the collection. The Lantern has also been seen on the big screen on several occasions. Most notably is probably the appearance alongside Marilyn Monroe in the movie “Let’s Make Love” from 1960 [link for more information...]
