Yki Nummi made a series of lamps during the 1950’s and 60’s made of white and transparent acrylic, a material with light refraction qualities similar to glass. The Sky Flyer, known also by the name Lokki (Seagull) in Finland, was awarded a prize at the Milan Triennial in 1960.
